Tracking your goals.. are you keeping up?
As we prepared and set our goals for the year at the end of last year, or else if you procrastinated, you only did this early in the new year. Did we ever consider and/or anticipate the real curve balls?
Amongst the normal day to day running of your business, we need to be honest and realise that there are real factors that have influenced our business’ which we have no control over. The constant increase in fuel prices, directly influences our travelling costs, purchases, and deliveries. Loadshedding takes the majority back to the dark ages. Yes – you may have been able to implement state of the art backup systems but have your suppliers and clients been able to do the same? Not to mention the constant announcements of a COVID wave on the horizon. These are just merely examples of factors and influences that we are unable to control.
Various questions to reflect over, not limited to but do include:
- Did you consider these factors in your future planning? Or did you choose to ignore them?
- Did you make a conscious decision that it is what it is and pushed forward regardless?
- Did you decide to admit defeat, and give up on the opportunity to fulfil your dream?
Let’s just rephrase the question:
- Despite all the challenges, what have you have managed to achieve for yourself and your business so far?
It is good and okay to reflect, to consider the outcomes that you have or may not have achieved. In fact, I would highly recommended that you do so. Consider what worked well and what did not work for you. Is my business delivering as I expected it to?
What is the quantum leap that you can take to ensure that you remain on track for the next 2 months (60 days)? Not to scare you but we are approaching the mid-year mark. Soon we will be 6 months into the NEW YEAR. If we do not consciously take control, we might find ourselves facing the end of the year in the exact same position as what we started, and perhaps for others, they might even be worse off.
Business Success
Whatever the reason for you starting your business – financial freedom, hobby income, inspired idea, delivery of service, required skill set or perhaps out of necessity ….
EVERY business can and SHOULD be successful.
Be BRAVE, check in and ensure that your business is on track.
Stuck is only temporary and “unstuck” is a decision.
Do your “work on the business” to ensure that this year is your BEST business year.
Guidance is only an “ask” away.
