I started my beauty business in 2017 as a part time business for almost 2 years. I worked as a receptionist full time and I allowed my full time job to take over my time. When I realized I had fallen under the trap that many fall under almost 2 years later, I decided I had to get out.
I decided to work for my father, Kenny Archer, who had his coaching practice for about a year. I worked with him as a Business Development Manager under one condition – I would make my beauty business full time. With the guidance and support from a business coach, I officially re-opened my beauty studio in 2019. As I was getting on my feet, COVID happen. With the beauty industry being closed, and not knowing when we could open, I continued to work for my father as well as open a temporary business. Assisting other business owners with their CRMS, databases, newsletters etc. This was just temporary until the beauty industry re-opened.
When I re-opened, my passion for helping business owners & shadowing my father was strong and could not let it go. However, I once again fell under the trap that many business owners fall under – juggling day to day business. Any plans and goals I had to combine both passions fell in the back burner while I rebuilt my beauty business. It wasn’t until the end of 2021, I sat down with Kenny as he was relaunching Archer Inspirations, I told him I wanted to join his team again, but this time as a business coach.
I know, with a fact, my beauty business would not have survived without continued support and being kept accountable by my business coach. Not only did my business survive but it grew by 42% from 2021 – 2022.
From my learnings, experience and coaching training, I now support business owners that have/want to turn their passion into a successful business that works for them.
