Prayer can guide the process of setting and achieving goals. I honestly have always been one to struggle setting goals and I know a lot of my clients struggle too. We think of something we want to achieve, but than doubt comes in our mind if we can achieve that goal. However, with setting SMART-Y goals and having a prayer plan with it – you can achieve all your goals. Here is how:
1. Seeking God’s Vision for Your Goals
Start by praying for clarity on what goals God wants you to pursue. Ask for His vision and guidance to ensure your goals align with His purpose for your life and business. If you are unsure if your goals align with God’s vision for you, ask yourself, will this goal bring me closer to God or further.
2. Praying for Wisdom and Insight
When setting goals, pray for wisdom and insight to make the right choices. James 1:5 encourages us to ask God for wisdom, and He will generously provide it. By doing this you will be able to create the tasks that need to be done to achieve your goals.
3. Daily Prayer for Focus and Motivation
Incorporate daily prayers to stay focused and motivated. Ask God to help you stay committed to your goals and to give you the strength to overcome any obstacles. It can become difficult to stay motivated as the year goes by or as we get focused working in the business instead of on. This is when we leave our goals to the side and don’t focus on them as much. Setting time daily to work towards your goals is as important as your daily prayers.
4. Prayer for Specific Goals
Pray specifically for each goal you set. Whether it’s a financial target, a project milestone, or personal development, lift each goal up in prayer and ask for God’s blessing and guidance. 5. Celebrate and Give Thanks for Achievements
When you achieve a goal, take time to thank God for His guidance and provision. Celebrate your successes with gratitude and acknowledge His role in your accomplishments. We often times as business owners get so focused on what’s next, we don’t take the time to stop, and celebrate the milestones we have overcome. It’s as important to acknowledge achievements as it is to set them.
Setting goals with God in your God-Led Business will lead you to great success. We so often forget to bring our faith in every aspect of the business and not just in emergency cases. Bring your faith in every step of your goal setting. No matter how big or small the goal is. Allowing God to lead your daily tasks in your daily prayers.
