It can be scary & nerve-wracking BUT it is so worth it!
Have you been thinking about showing who you really are in your business but afraid it might scare away clients? Are feeling this nudge deep down to be true to the full of you and not just half of you? I felt the EXACT way! I decided a few months ago to allow everyone to see the full me – and I could not be happier.
If you have been feeling the same way lately, well, here is that extra nudge. If you feel like you have been called to do what you do in business, do not be afraid to be bold enough to tell the world.
Now, yes, some people might be turned off by this new and bold change – but your business should reflect the true you! I have found also, by reflecting the real you, you get to work with others who feel as passionate about faith as you do. Working with like-minded-faith-based business owners? YES PLEASE!
If you do decide to make this amazing decision, here are some small actionable and practical ways that you can begin to fuse your faith and business.
- Your Bio – Declare your faith
Where better to declare your faith than a section dedicated to talking about who you are – your bio. This section is an opportunity to tell prospective clients about who you are, what you stand for & what they can expect working with you.
- Sharing Scriptures on Social Media
Whether it is an eye-catching image or in the description, sharing faith-based quotes or scriptures on your social media will not only make a statement for your business but might be the encouraging words a follower needed.
- Instagram Bio
Re-write your Instagram Profile to share your faith or a verse that speaks to you. By putting your faith in your profile, potential new followers will know that you are proud of your faith and will see it in your content. This way, you will also be connecting with others who share your same values – bonus!
- Create Prayer Scriptures
This is perfect to do between you and your business. Begin writing prayer scriptures for aspects in your business you want God to guide you in. These scriptures can be abut any aspect of your business, whether its about signing more clients, increasing sales or even getting the strength to share your faith with others to guide others. Put these scriptures close by in your office for when you have those moments you need to pray. - Share your story with others
Someone else is probably feeling the same way you do now and how I felt a few months ago. Sharing your story and your journey might be the nudge they need. Never be afraid to share your testimony in your business and personal life.
It can always be scary to truly be honest who we are – especially in business because we were always told to separate faith and business. I question than why did we start our own business if we still afraid to have OUR own business? If you do come to the decision to fuse faith and business, I cannot wait to hear how more authentic you feel and how easier it will be for you to do business as it has been for me.
